Description And Directions

  • Site Description: This small site is conveniently located only 3km off of Highway 97 near the Mackenzie Junction. The site is located in a semi-open area in a regenerating cutblock and offers the basic amenities of picnic tables, fire rings and a pit toilet. The small lake offers pleasant non-motorized boating opportunities as well as fairly good fishing for average sized rainbow trout. The lake is periodically stocked with Pennask strain rainbows. Boat access to the lake is only possible for car top boats via a short trail. Please note that motorized boats are not permitted on this lake.

  • Driving Directions: From the Mackenzie Junction, head south for about 3km and turn onto the Finlay North (Pack) FSR. After about 750 metres, turn right at the site entrance sign. The site is located a further 2 km along this road. Please note that the road is fairly rough and brushy. There is easy 2WD access, but vehicles with fresh paint jobs may want to assess before accessing this road.
