Orchard Meadow Recreation Site is now closed and gated for the season. The site will open again May 2024. Shoulder season group rentals are now available.

  • Site Description:A large, open site popular with motorhome users. The gravel boat launch is well used by campers for exploring Fry Lake. The site is located along the Sayward Forest Canoe Route. Please pack out what you pack in as there are no garbage disposal services at Orchard Meadow.

    All sites are first come, first served and payment on site is cash only.

    Shoulder season site rentals are available with a 3 night minimum. $250/night. For reservations, please contact A.Theoret@Silvifor.com.

  • Driving Directions: There are two ways to access Orchard Meadow Recreation Site.

    From Campbell River, travel west on Highway 28, for 34km. Turn right onto the Strathcona Dam road and drive across the dam. Follow the Greenstone FSR (5kms) to the junction of Campbell Lake FSR and turn right. Orchard Meadow Recreation Site is located approximately 800m down the road on the right.

    From Campbell River, travel west on Highway 28. Turn right at the Elk Falls turnoff, veer left and drive across the John Hart dam, turning left onto the Brewster Lake Road (gravel). Travel for 10.8kms to the four way junction, turning left onto Campbell Lake FSR. Follow the FSR for 13kms veering left after the bridge and the site is on your left.
