Tacheeda Lakes Ne (Bear Lake)

Site Description: This popular site is the third of the Tacheeda Lakes rec sites. Although still located in a scenic area along the shore, the site is located immediately adjacent to the main road. Some noise and dust from road traffic should be expected. There is space for 9 camping parties, and the basic amenities of tables, fire rings and pit toilets are provided. Avid anglers may have success catching wild stocks of rainbow trout, kokanee and lake trout. Please note that the lake trout are catch and release only.

Driving Directions:
*Note that the Chuchinka-Colbourne Road is an extremely busy industrial road. The use of two-way forestry radios is highly recommended. Please drive cautiously at all times and be aware of high volumes of heavy industrial traffic.*
From Prince George, drive approximately 85 Km on Highway 97 North and right on Chuchinka-Colbourne (2000) FSR. After 7 km the road turns into the 800 Road (keep left). Continue along this road and the site is located at km 840 on the left side of the road.
