Deer Lake (Little Fort)

Site Description:

NOTICE: DEER LAKE RECREATION SITE WILL BE A FEE FOR SERVICE SITE BEGINNING IN THE 2023 SEASON. THERE WILL BE A SITE OPERATOR COLLECTING FEES. THE FEE WILL BE SIMILAR TO OTHER SITES IN THE KAMLOOPS DISTRICT AT $15/NIGHT.

This Recreation Site is small and timbered with defined sites along the north shore of Deer Lake. It receives constant use throughout the spring, summer and fall. Canoeing and fishing are ideal for this lake. Buy a fishing licence, read the regulations and view fish stocking reports HERE.

Please use the site responsibly. As per the Forest Recreation Regulations;
Camping is limited to a maximum of 14 consecutive days per visit.
No reserving or holding of campsites, no unoccupied trailers, tents, chairs, vehicles may save a site or reserve it for others. All sites are first come, first serve.
Camping is only permitted in the designated camping spots.
All dogs must be on a leash at all times (for all Kamloops Recreation Sites).

Driving Directions:

From Kamloops, travel North to Little Fort, turn left to take HWY 24 West. In approx. 20 km, turn right (North) onto Taweel Forest Service Road. Deer Lake Recreation Site is just beyond the 5 km marker.
