Driving Directions:
From Highway 3-3A Intersection at the Ramada Hotel in Creston continue North on Hwy 3A for 35km. Turn right onto Sanca Creek FSR "OR" From Kootenay Bay head South on highway #3A for 45.0 km to the Sanca Creek FSR road. Follow the Sanca Creek Road for 9.6km. Turn left at fork when you reach the directional blade sign (Sherman Lake Trail left & Sanca Creek Trail straight). Travel 4.7km and stay right until the road switchbacks upslope just prior to bridge crossing Sherman Creek (you will see directional post Trail left arrow). Follow for approximately 2km, stay right to continue North through forest cutblocks. It's best to park on wide spot on road at old logging landing (look for parking sign) as road begins to narrow and erode in places. Walk on old logging road for approximately 800m until you reach the Sherman Lake Trail blade sign. The start of the trail is just passed this point across the creek. All roads require 4wd high clearance vehicles.
