• Site Description: Recently developed in the Spring of 2021, this is Discovery Coast's newest recreation site located along the Sayward Forest Canoe Route on Mohun Lake. Named after the abundance of Pacific Yew trees in the site, most individual campsites are water side with amazing views and access to the lake. There is a small swimming beach for campers as well as a boat launch for small boats. Designated parking for Sayward Forest Canoe Route paddlers is available adjacent to the boat launch.
  
  Please do not damage or cut into the stems of trees.
  
  A site host will be present May to September 2023 and a user fee will apply to all overnight camping.
  
  Please pack out what you pack in as there are no garbage disposal services at Pacific Yew.

  50% of the sites at Pacific Yew remain first come, first served. On site payment is cash only.
  
  Shoulder season site rentals are available with a 3 night minimum. $300/night. For reservations, please contact A.Theoret@Silvifor.com.

• Driving Directions:**Menzies Main was recently graded (May 2023).
  
  From Campbell River, travel north on Highway 19 turning left onto Menzies Mainline. Drive along Menzies for 10.5kms and the rec site entrance is on your right.

  From Campbell River, travel west on Highway 28. Turn right at the Elk Falls turnoff, veer left and drive across the John Hart dam. Turn left on to the Brewster Lake Road (gravel), and follow it for 10.8kms to the 4-way junction. At the junction go straight onto Brewster Main for 6kms, turn right onto Merrill Main. Follow for 1.5kms to Menzies Mainline, turn right and 500m down the road the rec site entrance is on your left. Always be aware of logging traffic.
