On route there are many remains of old pieces of mining equipment scattered along the trail. Near the top, the trail passes by the Ainsworth cemetery with some of the headstones dating back to the late 1800s. Please be respectful of the burial grounds.

  • Driving Directions: From Nelson drive 49 KM North along Highway 3A/31 to Ainsworth Hot Springs. From here, travel North (towards Kaslo) along Highway 31 for another 1.3 KM to reach a small bridge crossing over Cedar Creek. There is a small parking lot just South of the bridge. The trailhead can be found right off the Highway on the North side of the bridge.
