  • Site Description:This is a day use site. There is an old cabin on the site that people use in the winter. Horsebarn Valley Intrepretive forest provides opportunity for nature study, viewing, hiking, mountain biking, picnicking, horse riding, cross country skiing and snowshoeing. It also provides forest education and intrepretation on local ecosystems and forest practices.

  • Driving Directions:Commencing at the junction of Hwy 3/95 and Hwy 95A follow Hwy 95A for 23.4 km to the north end of Marysville. Take a sharp left (south) onto the St. Mary Lake Road. Set your odometer at "0" and follow this road for 6.9 km. Turn right on the Matthew Creek FSR and travel for 2 km. Turn right on the Lower Matthew Creek and travel for 2.9 km until the west landing.
