  • Site Description:Government Point offers an easy access recreation site on the roadside of Colleymount Rd. This site features a boat launch on Francois Lake and a large open space for larger campers and trailers. There are 5 sites and an accessible outhouse here. There are several fish species available for anglers in Francois Lake. Please be sure to purchase a fishing licence and consult the BC Freshwater Fishing Regulations Synopsis for limits, special regulations and closures: https://www2.gov.bc.ca/assets/gov/sports-recreation-arts-and-culture/outdoor-recreation/fishing-and-hunting/freshwater-fishing/region_6_skeena.pdf

  • Driving Directions: Near Burns Lake, from Hwy 16 drive south on Hwy 35 for ~22 km to the T-junction with Colleymount Road. Turn right on Colleymount Road and continue about 10 km west of the Francois Lake ferry terminal on the north shore of Francois Lake. Colleymount Rd is paved to 30km and gravel after that.
