  • Site Description: ATTENTION: This recreation site is within the declared title lands of the Tsilhqot'in and Xeni Gwet'in First Nation. Visitors are reminded to check www.xenigwetin.net for updates on access to Title Lands. The name "Tatlayoko" is an anglicization of the Tsilhqot'in name for this area, which is "Telhiqox." Telhiqox Biny is the Tsilhqot'in name for this lake. This picturesque camping spot is set amongst mature Douglas-fir trees overlooking the turquoise waters of Tatlayoko Lake, and offers impressive views of Niut Mountain. There is a small boat launch at the recreation site. Tatlayoko Lake can be prone to strong winds.

  • Driving Directions: About 1 km east of Tatla Lake, turn south off of Hwy 20 onto the Tatlayoko Lake Road. Travel 35.5 km south on the Tatlayoko Lake Road and turn right into the recreation site. The recreation site is located at the north end of the lake on the eastern shore.
