  • Site Description: This user-maintained site offers opportunities for a remote camping/fishing experience with challenging access. No facilities are provided at the site. A 2km trail leads from good roads to the lake edge with a drop of 200 metres. This trail can be extremely challenging in wet conditions. Regular vehicle use is not recommended, and vehicle access is best left to capable 4x4 vehicles with a winch or ATVs. Adventurous anglers may be treated to good fishing for wild rainbow trout.

  • Driving Directions: Travel 112kms north of Prince George (37.5kms north of Bear Lake). Turn right onto the 42 Mile Rd (past the Firth Lake Road). The site is 7.7kms off the highway to the lake edge. Parking at the top of the hill is recommended (near the towers) for anything other than capable 4x4 vehicles or ATVs.
