  • Site Description: This rec site features two separate sites within 2 km of each other. Each site offers space for two camping parties and provides the basic amenities of tables, fire rings and outhouses. Both sites feature small natural boat launches suitable for car top boats, but small trailered boats would be doable at both sites. The lake has beautiful clear water, and anglers may have success catching wild rainbow trout. The first site is located adjacent to the main road, so users should expect some level of road noise/dust when using this site.

  • Driving Directions: From Bear Lake, travel north on Highway 97 until you reach the Firth Lake/Hambone Connector FSR. Follow this road for approx. 15 km and turn left when you reach the junction with the Hambone FSR. The first site is within 0.5 km at the 15 km mark and the second site is a right turn at 17 km. Please note that the second site has a sharp/steep turnaround and is not suitable for larger vehicles. Please note that this area is extremely busy with industrial traffic. The use of 2-way radios is highly recommended. Please drive cautiously at all times and be aware of high volumes of heavy industrial traffic.
