Pidherny (Prince George)

The Pidherny Recreation Site is the most popular mountain biking location in the Prince George area, and the trails also host a multitude of other non-motorized uses such as hiking and dog walking. A diverse collection of over 65 km of trails with a range of skill levels appeals to both families and hardcore trail riders. The recreation site is managed as part of the working forest, and there are many different values that are represented in the area. Driving Directions: There are several main parking areas that allow users to access the trails. The upper parking lot (with most capacity) is located on upper Foothills Blvd, across from Vellencher Road. A "Park and Ride" location is available on North Nechako road, right near the junction with Foothills Blvd. Users have ample space to park here and use the bike lane to travel 2 km on pavement to the lower staging area. There is a small parking area at the end of Pidherny Road with room for approx. 10 vehicles. Please note that the Pidherny Road parking area accesses through a residential area and is only operational during daylight hours in the snow free seasons. Please be respectful of neighbours while using this parking area and obey posted traffic regulations.
